Parental Consent

Your consent and supervision keep teens safe at work

Last Updated: January 2025

At TeenWorkHub, we believe that parental involvement is essential for creating safe and positive work experiences for teenagers. This Parental Consent page outlines the requirements and responsibilities for parents and guardians whose teens wish to use our platform.

By providing consent, you acknowledge your role in supervising and supporting your teen's work activities while helping them build valuable skills and experience.

Age Requirements

Your teen must be between 14–17 years of age to use TeenWorkHub.

We verify age during the registration process and require documentation to ensure compliance with youth employment laws and platform safety standards.

Parental Acknowledgments

By providing consent for your teen to use TeenWorkHub, you acknowledge that:

Legal Authority to Consent

You are the legal parent or guardian with authority to consent to your teen's participation in work activities through our platform.

Appropriate Supervision

You will provide appropriate supervision based on the nature of each job, ensuring your teen's safety and well-being at all times.

Accompaniment When Required

You may be required to accompany your teen to certain job sites, particularly for younger teens or jobs that require additional supervision.

Right to Approve or Decline

You retain the right to approve or decline any job opportunity that your teen wishes to pursue through our platform.

How the Consent Process Works

1. Teen Registration

Your teen starts the registration process and provides your contact information

2. Consent Request

We send you a secure consent form via email with detailed information

3. Account Activation

Once you provide consent, your teen's account becomes active and ready to use

Your Ongoing Responsibilities

As a parent or guardian, your involvement doesn't end with initial consent. Your ongoing responsibilities include:

  • Reviewing and approving each job opportunity before your teen applies
  • Monitoring your teen's work schedule and ensuring it doesn't interfere with education
  • Communicating with job posters when necessary and appropriate
  • Ensuring your teen follows safety guidelines and platform rules
  • Reporting any safety concerns or inappropriate behavior immediately

Our Safety Commitment to You

We understand the trust you place in us when you allow your teen to use TeenWorkHub. Our commitment to safety includes:

Verified job poster identities
Age-appropriate job screening
24/7 safety support hotline
Secure payment processing
Complete parental oversight tools
Regular safety training and resources
